When does a legal retainer make sense?
When the company faces recurring legal decisions — hiring, contracts, HR, compliance — and prefers predictable costs over ad hoc calls. A retainer enables preventive monitoring and shorter response times.
What does ongoing legal support include?
Typically: contract review, employment hiring and termination support, corporate minutes and amendments, compliance assistance, and direct access to PREISA's partner for day-to-day matters as they arise.
Does an SME need to implement GDPR?
Yes. GDPR is not a large-company regime — it applies to any entity that processes personal data (clients, employees, suppliers). What changes is the depth of implementation. For an SME, the approach is proportionate and proportionately efficient.
How do we support foreign companies in Portugal?
